She's 4!

Wow - how did that happen?
In the past two weeks even -  she has grown up so much.  And in so many ways she hasn't.
She likes the word poopy.  I mean, grow up kid!

I kid.

She is delightful.  A joy.  Always (well, almost always) happy and excited.  She expresses herself so well.  Today she had her first day (of five days) at Science camp.  It's through SMLI (well, the Science Museum of Long Island, of course) which is located a mere 10 minutes from our house.  I spoke to her on the phone while I was in the city and she was with our new sitter, Nubia and Sam at the Landmark playground on Main Street.  I heard kids having fun in the background and Nubia said, "Leah, want to talk to your mommy?"  She got on the phone I asked, "How was science camp?" and she exclaimed in a tone and a way I so wished I had recorded, "It was great!" I heard the smile through the phone.  It was thrilling.  You know, that thrill from hearing your child with unabashed happiness.  I got that today. "It was great!"

Here she is in Crazy Hat Day at the Community Synagogue camp.

At this camp I heard things from her such as "Today was excellent!" "Today camp will be fantastic!"
No wonder why Mom and Dad are loving it here in our new house so much.  This kid digs it too!

Tonight while she and Sam were eating dinner, she really said, "Today was the best day ever!"

Wow, I hope her birthday tomorrow is ok.  We are just going for ok now.

Here is Sam his first time playground-ing in Port Washington.  (Landmark Playground on Main Street)
